Our Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide our patients with the highest level of dental health, wellbeing, and comfort.
To accomplish this, we consistently invest in doctor and staff training, state of the art equipment and strive to improve our communication skills.
Thus, we are a confident, experienced, professional team committed to bettering our patients' dental health by providing the very best in quality care.
Tools of the Trade
As with other industries we have tools that make our work easier, more comfortable and safe for our patients.
Oral Sedation or Conscious Sedation
Sedation dentistry offers a way for you to get the dental treatment you need without the anxiety. Safe and painless, oral sedation involves taking a small pill prior to your dental visit. You are sedated comfortably for 2-6 hours allowing Dr McBride to perform treatments that are longer that a normal dental appointment.
Oral sedation is perfect if you have:
- High fear
- Traumatic past dental experiences
- Difficulty getting numb
- A bad gag reflex
- Very sensitive teeth
- Complex dental problems
- Limited time to complete dental care
Or if you . . .
- Hate needles and shots
- Hate the noises, smells and taste associated with dental care
- Are afraid or embarrassed about your teeth
During sedation, you are constantly monitored by our staff. You are not actually asleep during the procedure, but in a relaxed, tranquil state.
Due to the sedative effects of the medication on the day of treatment, you will need someone to drive you to our office and home again. Under our care, we will ensure you are meticulously and respectfully cared for, freeing you from worry and stress. www.sedationcare.com
Full Service Lab Our in-house full service lab deals with the design, fabrication and repair of dental appliances (crowns, bridges, dentures, removable partials) under the direction and supervision of Dr McBride.
Not only does this mean both time and money savings for you, but quality of your dental appliances is closely monitored in our very own facility.
Digital X-ray Technology
We use digital X-rays that help us diagnose and treat you faster, less painfully and with more accuracy. The images appear instantly on the monitor in the treatment room for you and Dr McBride to view. Images can be magnified for greater clarity, and e-mailed to other doctors or insurance companies. The new digital technology is environmentally friendly as it eliminated the need for chemicals required in traditional film processing.
Looking more like a super-soaker water gun than an X-ray, the new hand-held unit used at our office reduces potentially harmful radiation by 90% over conventional X-rays. No need to move from our comfortable chairs, we can bring the X-ray to you and aim it with more accuracy and precision than before. Our nifty new tool doesn't need to be plugged in either--it runs on a rechargeable battery just like your cordless drill at home.
- Digital X-rays produce pictures of your teeth, bone and surrounding tissue in seconds, allowing you to view and understand your treatment needs instantly.
- Images can be magnified 300x their normal size to reveal hidden problems that traditional X-rays couldn't detect, such as cracks in your teeth, or where a filling might be leaking.
Treatment Rooms Our treatment rooms are designed to be comfortable and relaxing.
Personal Care We strive to treat everyone with courtesy and respect. Our appointments are longer than you will usually find in order to have a more relaxed atmosphere.
